Old Town March 10, 2012

The first tournament of the year is finally here. Old Town lake at Lakeveiw. Launch time will be first light so let's say around 6:15 to 6:30am at public ramp. So try to be there early and have boat in water by 6:15. Now since this is first tournament many or most of you will be paying membership and signing waivers so please allow enough time to get all this done and give me enough time also. I will be there early to get you signed up with the club. I will be there by 5:00 at the public ramp. Now you can use any ramp you want to to unload your boat and you can drive to the public ramp. If you should the one on the north end toward Helena there will be a launch fee and you are responsible for it. I imagine there is going to be a lot of weekend anglers there and for you to get a half way decent parking spot you better get there early. Weigh in will be at 3:00pm. Remember 40 dollar membership and 40 dollar entry fee per person and that includes big bass.

Open tourn. Feb 25th Maddoux Bay

West helena bass club is having an open tournament on Feb 25th at Maddoux Bay. No membership required to fish. If we can have 20 boats first place will be 800 dollars. That means at least 40 anglers signed up. Entry fee is 40 dollars per person. Please let everyone know. Launch from Maddoux Bay landing and there is a 5 dollar launch fee. Fish time is 7:00am to 2:30pm.

Important Kickoff Meeting

Our kickoff meeting will be February 2 at Farm Bureau office in West Helena. Meeting starts at 6:00pm. Please be there because we will be voting on commitiy members that will be making the decisions on our backup lakes if a scheduled lake or river has a unaccessible boat ramp. Commitiy members will also make decisions on anything that might happen during tHe year. Have to be a paid member by the meeting to be a commitiy member.

I really enjoyed the 2011 year. I hope everyone can fish with us next year and maybe we can have more to come join our club. This club is only good as it members so please spread the word so we can have a great turn out for next year.
